Users Overview

A user is an individual who has access to the Woodcore system through the API or console. This implies that there are two types of users on the Woodcore system: API users and Console users.

Each user can access the features and information required to perform their day-to-day operations. However, the user's access is dependent on their assigned role(s). A role allows users to perform specific tasks depending on the level of permission they are granted by their roles.

See Roles for more information.

Note

Both console and API users must have assigned roles.

During the onboarding process, our support team will provide a new console environment for your organization with a user account; this user is known as the account owner.

The account owner cannot be deleted and will always have all available permissions.

When the account owner is changed, the former account owner must update the user details to those of the new account owner.

The new account owner will receive a confirmation email and will need to set a new password. If, for some reason, the account owners' information was not changed in time and you no longer have access to the former account owner's email account, kindly contact our support team

In the next section, we will guide you through creating a user and other user management operations.
